Questions and answers about Safety Bull

Safety Bull is a flexible fall protection system on wheels. It eliminates the need for a fixed anchorage point and gives you control of your safety. From experience, we know that people have a lot of questions about our product. That’s why we’ve gathered a number of the most common questions people ask. If you don’t find the answer to your question here, please feel welcome to contact us.

  • What is Safety Bull?

Safety Bull is a mobile fall protection cart that ensures your safety when working at heights.

The cart is hoisted up using a crane, after which you and, if applicable, a colleague can fasten yourselves to Safety Bull, place your tools on the cart, and drive the cart around the roof. If an accident occurs and you fall from the roof, Safety Bull will shoot a powerful engagement arm through the roof and thereby serve as your anchorage point. The cart is tested and certified according to European standards (DIN EN 795:2012, DIN CEN/TS 16415:2017).

  • How is Safety Bull different from other fall protection solutions?

Safety Bull is a whole new way of thinking about fall protection. The big difference and strength is the mobility of the cart. It can be driven around on the roof, and when you’re finished on a roof, the cart can be moved to another building.

The cart also makes it easy for you to transport your tools and materials, keeping them close by and keeping your hands free to perform your work.

  • Does Safety Bull have safety approval?

Yes. Safety Bull has been tested and certified according to European standards (DIN EN 795:2012, DIN CEN/TS 16415:2017).

The cart’s powerful engagement arm is mechanically propelled into the building’s structure using the energy created by a drop in the anchorage point of the cart.

    Tested and certified:
    DIN EN 795:2012, DIN CEN/TS 16415:2017

See the drop test of Safety Bull for approval in Düsseldorf in May 2018.

  • What types of roofs can Safety Bull be used on?

Safety Bull can be used on all common types of roofs with a slope of less than 5 degrees.

If you want to use the cart on concrete or asphalt, an additional 145 kg counterweight must be used.
See manual for additional information. There must be room to drive the Safety Bull around on the roof. For example, the roof must not be impassable due to solar cells.

  • How much does a Safety Bull weigh?

The cart weighs 274 kg, which common roof structures can bear without problems.

Each wheel has a pressure of 68.5 kg. For certain types of roofs, we recommend that you buy an additional plate that serves as an “parking space” for the cart. This evenly distributes the pressure of the wheels to prevent the cart from causing depressions in the roof.
We will be happy to help you assess the need for this add-on plate.

  • What are the dimensions of a Safety Bull?

    Safety Bull dimensions:
    H: 543 mm
    W: 841 mm
    L: 1,620 mm
    Length with handle: 2519 mm

  • How can I see a Safety Bull first hand?

Safety Bull has been on the market in the United States for many years, but it is the first cart of its kind in Europe. Therefore, we have made a video where you can see the cart in use, a drop test video, and an animated quick guide that shows how the cart works.

If you would like to see the cart first hand, please contact your local dealer.

  • How much does a Safety Bull cost?

A Safety Bull is cheaper than most people think. Contact your local dealer for Safety Bull prices.

  • What is the delivery time for a Safety Bull?

    2-4 business days.

  • Can I buy extra products/add-ons?

Safety Bull is available without add-ons.

To adapt the cart to your needs, we have developed a range of optional add-ons. This means that you can tailor your Safety Bull to meet your needs in full.

  • Who sells Safety Bull in Europe?

Safety Bull is sold throughout Europe via local dealers. Since we want all of Europe to benefit from Safety Bull, we are always on the lookout for local dealers. This dealer map shows where you can find your nearest Safety Bull dealer.

  • What additional costs are there besides the purchase of the Safety Bull itself?

As with all other fall protection systems, the cart must be regularly serviced at least once every 12 months. This service may only be performed by skilled professionals who are trained and certified by Safety Bull.

There may also be costs associated with hoisting the cart up to/down from the roof if you want to move it from building to building.

The cart is sold separately. If you want additional equipment such a jobbox, this comes at an additional cost.
